Hey, that barbarian is an English teacher you know! :P lol really i gotta google th band now :P thanks a lot...EDIT: omg thats pretty boss... from heavy metal singer, to english teacher....
Heh, funnily enough a local metal band named Hellmouth suppossedly has a member who is currently a teacher in a district by me.
Anyways, for recommendations:
Maximum the Hormone (that song makes them sound somewhat like a Japanese version of early SOAD. Theygotvarietythough)
Drowning Pool (Only get the Sinner album. Their amazing singer died right after that album came out and they haven't been the same since)
Muse (Lighter than most stuff you mentioned but a mind-blowingly good band)
MuteMath (Once again lighter but amazingly good rock. That particular song is liable to get stuck in your head it is soooo catchy)
Earshot (I have heard them be compared to Tool and A Perfect Circle)
Crossfade (Just get their first album. Their follow up blew unfortunately)
Chevelle (Great band that has had all great albums except for their most recent one "Sci-Fi Crimes")
Lostprophets (Last album "Liberation Transmission" got a bit poppy, but at the very least their first two albums were great rock albums)
Mudvayne (I have picked and chosen a good amount of songs that I enjoy throughout their career. Dig is by far my fav though still)
Red Hot Chilli Peppers (Something a bit different to mix it up. Great, great band)
Edit: Added in link for Hellmouth.
