This is a mega HW fight. Alistair Overeem is finally in the UFC. This is long over due. Wildely regarded as one of the best if not the best HW fighter in the world. On Dec 30 (tomorrow), The Reem will now square off against the beast that is Brock Lesnar. Who you got in this fight and why?

lesnar will again be humiliated by an actual fighter. carwin proved brock was a joke.... he showed his best defensive method... the ol "cover your face and cry" he won because carwin gassed... but his "cover your face and cry technique" didnt work on valasquez.. because he didnt gas. now maybe brock's patented "cover your face and cry" technique will work on overeem, but im guessing it wont. Ill even put money on it...

i honestly hope Brock wins. Nearly everyone wants or thinks he will lose. I'm not sure who will win, but it could be a good or quick fight. nowadays it's hard to predict. Only the lightweight fights are guaranteed to last more than 1 round it seems.

If brock can take overeem down he has a chance for sure... somehow i doubt the reem will have takedown defence of carwin's caliber

carwin doesnt have takedown defense, because all carwin knows is ground game (his background is 100% wrestling)... his takedown defense is to goto the ground. Overeem is a well rounded fighter, and due to his incredible steroid abuse, hes as enormous as lesnar, the only difference being overeem knows how to fight. Lesnar only knows how to lay his fat body on people that weight far less than him.

What are you talking about? Carwin was an all american wrestler, of course he's going to have great takedown defense. I know Overeem is well rounded, but he hasn't faced a wrestler of brock's caliber yet, who knows if he has the skill to repeatedly stuff that kind of takedown. Also, overeem has never tested positive for steroids, who are you to be making such claims? for all we know maybe it was all the horsemeat :P

good point he was probably only fighting in regions that dont drug test, while he became an enormous mound of muscles and refused US drug tests.... because.... well i cant fill in the because. Hes likely a freakish steroid abuser.... maybe because of horse meat? :P

Haha, very true. I prefer to give him the benefit of the doubt until we get proof, but I'll admit it does look pretty sketchy. As long as he doesn't get busted I'll be happy to watch him fight for the UFC

Oh you were serious, who cares? i would be surprised if a single professional athlete didnt roid. Overeem just tends to be freakishly obvious about it.

Ya Overeem for sure does it. but so does alot of other fighters. mostly because it helps them heal faster after their fight. so im not completly against it. If i found out my fav fighter takes roids id be like oh well. This isnt a game of basketball or football. I see these men as FIGHTERS before athletes. And as fighters you should be able to do w.e that gets you through the day and to the top.
