FACT

Take Obama out of the equation, and alot of people can surmise that Bush is a pretty poor president.. He has done nothing extrondinary or above and beyond.. Nor has he really shown to even do an acceptable job in alot of areas..
That being said what was the point to posting this article? I am quite sure most people show respect to people who serve their country amiably specially to save their comrades.
I just read that about an hour ago. a real hero. judging by his name, a Christian Arab too.
RIP Monsoor.
Why is this a thread about Bush and not the soldier that gave his life? What does this have to do with Bush other than the fact that he gave a medal that any one in their right mind would give? The soldier deserves the utmost respect and admiration for such a selfless and heroic deed, but Bush doesn't deserve any for such an arbitrary action. I find it funny that you're trying to spin this into a positive in favor of him.bman784
Because Jackson is notrious for posting really anything with a conseravtive slant, or Bashing the democratic side.. I don't think I have seen him yet say anything postive for the opposite party, or negative towards his party.

Unfortunately, some people have done that anyway, and you're making the wrong assumptions here.

The fact that you're making this a political issue is disgusting man. I copied and pasted the story directly from CNN, title and all. This wasn't meant to insight any kind of "My political party hasa bigger **** then your party" contest, it's meant to celebrate the life of this man who died for his fellow SEALS. Thats what guys are dying over there for, the friends to their left and their right. Not all of us agree with this war or Bush or anything like that, but its our duty to do the job. I'm going back to Iraq in 2 months, and I can't wait. It's what I signed up to do. Just honor the man for showing us all that heroism still exists, no matter who's in political power or anything. By the way, I've repeatedly said I'm not a republican, nor am I a democrat. And I don't hate democrats, no matter what kind of words you try putting in my mouth. Zell Miller is awesome, IMO. But I digress, lets bury this issue here.
Also, Sgt Rafael Peralta is very close to being awarded the Medal of Honor too. He was stationed out here in Hawaii where I'm stationed. Barely knew the guy other then seeing him around on base, but he was a great man from what I've heard. RIP Raf

It's amazing what some people can do and the sacrifices they can make, unfortunately stuff like this will never get into the media. Then go delete your post. You know very well people are going to stop and quote it.
Anyways, it was covered live on Fox News. The speech and the president awarding the medal to the family. He deserved the medal, taking a grenade to save his fellow SEALS.
