A new poll shows that Bush has the worst disapproval rating of any president since they started tracking these polls back in the 40's. Ahhhh..... It feels good to be vindicated.

My favorite one was the skit they did before the 2000 election where Dana Carvey played Bush Sr. taking out his son (played by Will Farrell) on a hunting trip.... And then Dana Carvey was all sad and cocks his gun, 'well, I gotta do this for the good of the nation'. The implication was that he was going to put his son out of our misery.

This is what happens when you don't play a certain political game. As much as I disagree with Bush in many issues, I find him underrated because he did some good things in his career (he has been doing great on Iraq and defense against terrorism.)

You can't fight an ideology (we were attacked when he was in office) and invading Iraq...which wasn't necessary.....created more animosity towards the US. Now...what are those good things he's done again?

Which was? An attack brought on by his own arrogance to throw out intell from the last admin? The economy was in great shape when we took over. We weren't in debt...the deficit from the Reagan/Bush era was gone. We weren't in war.....

Ya but you know what gets me is that everyone sits here and rags on bush about 911, and you know what if Bill Clinton wasn't too busy getting impeached he could of been focusing his time on destroying those terrorist camps instead of letting them get stronger and build up until Bush got into office. So you know it goes hand in hand, its not all his fault, but people are quick to jump to that conclusion.

Clinton was gone already nine months when 911 happened. I'd say what the first Bush did with Desert Storm was one of many reasons for the attack.

As for Bush...he THREW OUT THE INTELL Clinton tried to give him. It takes months of planning to pull of what they did...and since Bush was too arrogant to keep intell....I TOTALY BLAME him for 911. Why justify his mistake by pushing the blame on to others?

On the subject of impeachment...that was a HUGE waste of money brought on by...you guessed it...the republicans.

He is by no means the worst president so far. I'm not saying he's the best, but he isn't the worst. The problem I have with him is unfulfilled promises. Look at his record in Texas, and he did a lot. He was elected because he had potential to work well with the country as he did in Texas, but that didn't happen.

As for the worst president, this could be a completely opinion based thing. Someone on the far left won't like Regan while most people moderate-right will love him. Most people far right don't like FDR, while moderate-left folks love him. One we can all agree on, though, is Buchanan. I mean, he didn't do anything, except re-decorate the white house.

OH, and on the comedy issue, the SNL Bill Clinton impressions were always the best. The one in McDonalds is a classic.

Hello those terrorist camps where being put together when Clinton was in office, well before Bush came into the picture, and now what Desert Storm was a big mistake? When the rest of the world agreed with us on that one? Its not about blaming others its about common sense. Those camps in Afghanistan were being put together while clinton was in office for the longest time, and he was told about it and he didn't do jack about it. So I think if he actually did something when that was going on, that could of probably prevented anything from happening on 911.

I do understand how intelligence works and I'm not saying that Bush is a perfect angel he should of taken more of a presence on the actually information, but he didn't. Its just agravates me that no one every brings Clinton into the 911 conversation.

Of course they are not going to love us, but what they should of done in the first place is taken Suddam out of office, or they should of killed him the first time when they had the chance to in Bahgdad. Instead of being in the mess they are in now.

I don't believe that to be true judging by your statements in this thread. Clinton had intell...Bush didn't use it. It's THE FAULT OF BUSH...and no one else. Period.

Exactly why is it ANY of our business who is in power in other countries? He wasn't threatening us. Therefore, we should have stayed out.

Now I have some errands to do dude. Catch ya laterz.

I think you are misunderstanding me I never said that I agreed or disagreed with the current war in Iraq, I was talking about Desert Storm and how they should of just killed Suddam then and not wait 15 years to go back and do what they should of done in the first place. Also it wasn't the matter of who was in power is was the matter that he was killing his own people in the first place, and there is a list of a lot of horrible things that he did, and it was about time that someone stepped up and did something about it back when Desert Storm was going on.

History will look back on Bush as an okay President with some good ideas that had to deal with a lot of crappy scenarios. A lot of them.

Not surprised by that poll though.

Unlikely. His popularity was highest after 9-11. Now that we can actually look back we see that he was really a terrible president, no matter what happened during his tenure.

Ya whats your point? The economy isn't all Bush's fault you know and you also know that war helps out economy as well. Our economy is always been known for frequent expansions and frequent recessions its always been like that. Just like this recession that we are currently going through at the moment will fix itself like it always has, thats the way the economy works.

Bush definatley isn't the greatest president nor is he the worst. His first term was pretty good but his second term was horrible. Grant was a great General but horrible president, FD gave us the pyramid scheme that is Social Security, Carter was just horrible, we all know how Nixon turned out. Clinton was okay he also had terrorist attacks happen on his watch although nobody seems to remember that. It isn't Bush's fault that people spen money that they didn't have and now they can't pay it back(the credit crisis). No child left behind was a disaster, the Patriot Act was overazealous. The economy certainly isn't all Bush's fault.

War only helps out the economy when there are jobs available. There isn't. This war only drained the economy.

Don't know if all of these are true or not, but whatever. I'm lazy and you get the idea:

1. Walter Reed outpatient treatment
2. Fired US attorneys
3. Scooter Libby/Plamegate
4. Iraq: lack of preparation for occupation, looting, including the National Museum, too few troops, lack of training, lack of equipment, lack of securing loose Iraqi munitions, disbanding the Iraqi army, banning the Baathists, the CPA, Paul Bremer, losing tons of money literally, lack of international inclusion in reconstruction and security, weak Constitution, formation of sectarian parties, weak government
5. Afghanistan and the resurgent Taliban and opium production
6. Iran and saber rattling
7. North Korea, ditching the 1994 agreement because of dubious uranium program, the plutonium program which led to a fizzled first nuclear test, and something like a return to the 1994 agreement
8. Osama bin Laden, where are you? Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and terrorism
9. Civilian contractors

[QUOTE="RenegadePatriot"]He is the worst president so far...LJS9502_basic

Trust me there have been worse.

I do not know about that, look at our economy.

War only helps out the economy when there are jobs available. There isn't. This war only drained the economy.

Ya I guess its the war that has caused this whole recession we are currently in. Do you really believe that?

Well when the war started it actually brought up the economy and I can't say that over the past 3-4 years it has helped much either, but my statment was basically that its not all because of war on why the economy is in rough shape right now.
