im thinking about buying a bb gun. one that can shoot pellets also. the bb guns that i am finding that can shoot bbs and pellets are around $100. they shoot 250fps. is it worth it? should i get one that can shoot faster, say 500fps? i want to keep the price around $100-$150 but i want to get a bb gun that wont break and has a good amount of power, not some plastic peice of crap that cant evenknock over a coke can. i guess what im asking is:

is 250 fps slow, fast or average for a BB gun?

Go with Daisy. I suggest getting a real rifle though.

I have one that goes 350 fps..and I can see the BB exiting the barrel...so a 250 fps one is sloowwwww....go with the 500 fps

I agree, a nice little .22 is a ton of fun and a good beginning, and if you ever get into hunting or professional target shooting you already have a good start on it.

Also teaches a lot of good stuff about safety, responsibility, etc.
