Well, my old RAZR broke (I accidently left it in my jeans and they went through the wash), so I'm looking for a new phone.

I don't want to change my plan because my parents are paying for it for another year, so I don't think it would be a good idea.

If I buy a new cell phone off my provider it will cost alot and I'll get a fairly low-end cell phone.

So I went onto craigs list and found some good phones between $100 - $150, which isn't a bad price compared to the price that my provider was charging me for them. I can get an LG Chocolat for $130, not bad...

Does anyone have any advice about buying second-hand cell phones? Maybe questions that I should ask the seller? Thanks!

The thing is, a good one is between $300 - $500, where as they are much cheaper used.

If I bought a new one for $100, it would be bottom-of-the-line :(

New phones are getting better and better at a very fast rate. You should just fork over the dough and buy yourself a new cool one. And don't get MOTO any more. Totaly over played, and who likes that?

So you think the difference beween $200-$300 is worth it for a new phone?

I mean, I can get some nice phones for $100, it just doesn't seem worth buying a new one...

That depends if you care about have cool features. Like my Phone which is with Telus (Verison equivalent in the states) has a 2MP camera, and i need something like that. But it's now about 1.3 years old, and in january when it's time to renew my plan i will get a nother good phone, but cheaper cause they will give me a discount for getting a enw plan again. But When does your plan expire? If not too long then get a cheaper phone now and get a new one upon your plan renewal date. LIke instead of getting a 500 buck phone i will get it for 149 with a 3 year plan.

Yeah, my plan expires in early October of 2008 :(

I can get the Chocolat, which is a nice stylish sliding phone with a 2 mega pixel camera for $130, not bad...

Don't get the chocolate phone. The touch sensitive button are not very responsive at time. It will get very annoying. My GF mom had one and she did not like it.Make sure you get one with accual buttons.
