Let's say you could afford it, would you buy an island?

I'll go in half with someone in OT and we can share it six months each out of the year; but I call dibs on the summer months. :D
i would seriously buy one, and if i was a filthy rich guy after they build all the structures in my island i shall buy a really big yacht8)
No way, the internet access would suck and with global warming the island would most likely be under water in a few years anyway.bededog
I'm just saying if you could afford an island, constructing a great internet system for it would not be too hard/expensive for you.
If I was guaranteed fast internet and a private airfield + private planes and pilots, sure.
I'd probably buy something in the Orkneys, or maybe St. Agnes. There are only 73 people there, I'm sure I can chase them out.
Hell yeah, though I don't know if I would buy a tropical island somewhere, or an island up in northern Europe somewhere, like around Scandanavia or northern Russia. Provided I had all the comforts of home there.
Yes and then I would make it into a hotel or rent it out
I have no desire in living on a island but i can see the benefits of owning one.
Yay Simon & Garfunkel. In response to question: I might consider it...i AM a rock. i AM an island. a rock feels no pain. and an island never cries. /guitar outtro
