Came back from delivery when this deformed guy walks in store.

I work as a driver part time at pizza hut and today was just a weird day. So anyway, I come back from delivery and usually when there isn't any deliveries to take, I go in the back and prep food before another delivery is ready. So this guy walked in with a really really deformed face, and wow I couldn't help but notice how bad he looks. Anyway, everyone kinda came to the back and said they didn't want to take his order. My boss...my sweet sexy boss who is nice to EVERYONE didn't want to take his order. She said she just couldn't so basically I said I'll take the order.

After all that, basically my boss rewarded me but I find it weird for getting rewarded for something like this. It really wasn't a big deal. I thought it was ridiculous that no one else wanted to do it so I just rejected her reward and went on with my delivery. I asked them why they just simply couldn't take his order and they basically said the same thing "well just look at him." Oh well, people are cruel sometimes. What would you have done in this situation?

I would have taken the order, I mean really what was the guy gonna do to her anyway? Or more accurately what did she think the guy was going to do to her as a result of facial deformity?

He looked like he had 4-foreheads and none of them were aligned. He had like one eyebrow(not a unibrow), one eye was bigger than the other and his nose was totally messed up. His mouth look really bad too. Poor guy probably went home and wasn't able to eat his pizza. Oh well, what can I do? The reward was a stupid gift card at Best Buy...she wouldn't tell me how much was in it. Yeah its unfair, but it happens. He shouldn't be treated differently, but he is.

I remember going to Subway, and this guy had those things you use to talk through your throat. Thankfully he was served with no problems

Yeah I agree to an extent. Maybe I was too quick to judge after reading events on face value, we don't really know what went through their minds or the core reasons for their reaction.

But nonetheless I still believe the boss was wrong to do so. Her action was wrong, regardless of her reason for doing so, and she was the one in a position of power and authority to set an example. She should be held accountable, unless she relinqueshes her position because she feels unable to carry it out, as best the position demands. And the only way to gauge this is by asking whether she would react in the same manner, and see if she feels her actions were appropriate in relation to the circumstance.
