Lots of sugar in beer so it probably will make losing weight slower.

3 beers a week is nothing - if you keep up the running and eat healthily you will certainly lose weight over time.

3 beers a week isn't much at all.

btw I say liquor before beer, you're in the clear. Beer before liquor, never been sicker.

Rolls off the tongue more ;)

Even though drinks have some calories, but they do not affect losing/gaining weight too much, so you shouldn't be worried about that. The main problem of beer is that you want to eat something when drinking it, and it usually is crisps, fried bread and similar high-fat products.

It depends how much you drink.Ā  Alcohol contains 7/9 the calories of pure fat.

Like the others have said, it really depends on the volume you are drinking. If you only have a few here and there, there is no problem and you should be able to lose weight. Of course, it differs from person to person but as long as you don't binge drink a lot, you should have no problems because of it.

Running is not necessary, it's even harmful for some people, because they want to eat after running - restore the energy

A few drinks shouldn't do much. Ā But alcohol has more calories than sugars or protiens.

Consider other healthy alternatives, but not beer. You must change your way of thinking; mentally and physically.

Yea, if you're having that small amount of beer. It's when you start drinking a lot of beer that you can pack on the pounds.

You could still lose weight, but you're only making it harder for yourself if you drink much.

Ā

wine usually has a lot of sugar (naturally) so no go on that

and beer has TONS of carbs, so really it might make it difficult.

The way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you're taking in, if you're going to drink you have to take that into consideration also, I suggest running and/or biking and swimming daily or every other day if possible for 40min to 1.5 hour durations at least if you are serious about losing weight

cutting back on beer and other foods and/or beverages that are not healthy would also be ideal.

Ā

Good luck.

I guess if you drank and then puked every night you'd probably lose weight. In any other circumstance though, it's not going to work. Alcohol is actually not very healthy for you. Lots of calories and not much good stuff.

Most forms of alcohol has calories, so it really depends on how much you drink and how much you exercise.Ā  If you expend more calories than you consume, you lose weight.Ā  Simple.

Thats probably the most unhealthy diet in history! Right up there with Atkins! Genius!

edit - Sorry I mis-read...can't be too bad i guess. i thought you meant boozing heavily! wine is probably better, you put less weight on with wine i think. Dont quote me on that!!
