Can Optimus Prime take The Hulk in a fight?

I've been researching alot about these two. It looks like when I go to forums, the majority say hulk BUT based on website stats of both characters...Optimus Prime wins.

No. Hulk would rip Optimus' legs off and step on his head.

optimus is a robot.. while hulk is a pissed off green monster.... robots break... hulk does not... HULK wins in my opinion, but you got to love prime =P

well, in the new transformers optimus gets owned pretty easily, and yet the only way anyone ever really stopped the hulk was by shooting him to another planet, which just made him more pissed. so the hulk wins

The Hulk is one of the most OP guys in the history of the universe. Pretty much the only way you can actually beat him is if you have some sort of power that can make him stop being the Hulk.

Not entirely true. Cosmic entities could blink at Hulk and vaporize him into dust. Based off my knowledge, one of the few people that can actually lay claim to defeating(subduing) the Hulk is Abomination.

With twin fireblade swords, if prime could slice him in half then maybe but once hulk gets in close it would be over.Kurushio

Hulk could take on the entire US Military and everything else and pretty much win.

Optimus wouldn't really, since explosives actually damage him.

As much as I like Optimus as much as the Hulk, Hulk wins. The guy's pretty much a walking wall of death.

Optimus isn't just a robot. He's an alien. Im pretty sure that if Optimus got a good shot with his fireblade to hulk's head then Prime would win.

A even fight would be Hulk Vs Every Transformer that has been created in the Transformer series.

The only way to defeat the hulk is give him the hug he's been wanting for so long.

Pity Optimus wouldn't think of putting Betty by the Hulk. Hulk calms down changes back then SPLAT! No more Hulk. Of course Optimus would have to not look threatening to her otherwise the Hulk would get mighty cheesed off.
