but most religions are extremely intolerant of change.At my school, they've really been driving it home that they want religion and science to coexist. Now that most people believe in evolution and other scientific theories, it would be suicide for them not to accept the change.
but people have this odd habit of writing things down. and taking that seriously :|God and Science? Yes. Maybe God created science.
God and the Bible written as we know it? No.

In my opinion, Science and God are the same. Everytime someone uses science to figure out a myster of the universe, they figured out how God did something. My idea of evolutionis that it does exist, but that's what God used to create humans. I feel that the bible's explanation of "God created Adam from dust" was taken far too literally. Scientists believe that life started from dust, such basic elements found in the earth in a primordial soup.Life eventually from that soup, and here we are. Makes perfect sense to me, but that's just me.

Not just you. I agree with what you said.

adam = dust
eve = gasses :P
I share the same ideas JPL :D though I have a sort of lazy view about an omnipotent being. it just pressed the button for the big bang and watched the show.

I also agree with JustPlainLucas for what he has said, also i would like to add don't trust Bible about everything what they say because it is people who wrote the Bible. People can make mistakes, so if Bilble was written by people you can tell Bible is not 100& right.science was developed to disprove religion :|blooddemon666

Science was developed to benefit humanity by providing logical answers from methodical experiments to aid in the understanding of the natural phenomena in our world. Religion strives for the same objective, but skipping the logical answer part.

God didn't create science. Galileo Galilei did... unless Galileo is your God? To any astronomer that may be the case.

That very well could be right, but we can't take everything said in the Bible as a metaphor. That said, how do we know what is symbolic and what isn't?

I originally read that as "oyster". :lol:In my opinion, Science and God are the same. Everytime someone uses science to figure out amysterof the universe, they figured out how God did something. Here's the thing that bothers me: when a part of the Bible is proven wrong, it is then considered "not literal" or a "metaphor".

I think it's time for followers of Abrahamic religions to accept that most of what's in their books are metaphoric. It does disprove their religion.
And of course science and God can coexist. Einstein made it work.
Can they? To fight evil and to bring peace to the world? Is that even possible?mohan88Why does God have to fight evil? And of course they can coexist.
science was developed to disprove religion :|blooddemon666
NO. Science was developed to further the prosperity of man kind. Not to disprove one's set of beliefs, but to invent things, develop medicine, travel to space, etc.
IF Science were made for such a purpose to disprove religion, it's done a crappy job for a long time.

It will be little helpful if God fights evil. What if God created evil to test us? Don't make me argue on this one. :D
