Can someone explain to me why everyone loves Friendship is Magic

I've watched the first episode of MLP: Friendship is Magic, heard alot about the series from my friends on here and from a friends I know. But could I ask a question to know why everyone seems to love this show? I mean c'mon what is it that makes the series that awesome?

I just wanted to see what the fuss is about, I wouldn't even plan on watching anymore halfway through was nothing but WTF!?!?!

most people don't, the interwebz (forums especially) make things seem more popular than they really are, especially if you live in them (like a ton of people here do). the truth is, the vast majority of people who watch this show are 14 and under.

before it was kinda cute and only slightly creepy.

the recent turn to sexualizing them with bikini pics and ass shots is pretty fuking disturbing and totally creepy.

the same reason you like the shows you do, is the same reason they like the shows they do.

Because:

-Its one of the best written US cartoon in years, and basses its comedy on character traits and not cheap shock humor in "look I creepy I can be" styl e(looking at youAdventure Time). The characters themselves are also very rounded, and pardon the pun, far from one trick ponies compared to most post CN quality collapse cartoons.

-The production values are also top notch. This is the best example of Flash animation I can think of with very fluid animation. Its also supported by a great score & songs. This Day Aria one of my favorite villain songs right along side Hell Fire & Be Pre-Paired.

-Its also supported by a loving fan community that puts out a ton of their own content that is strong enough by itself to carry the torch while the show is on summer hiatus.

That said, like every show its not made for everyone, especially if you prefer cynical styl e humor.

It's one of the best cartoons that air nowadays. Seriously, name one good show I should watch now.

As a fellow Brony, I highly recomend Legend of Korra.
