Can you date and have a girlfriend your not attracted to?

I know people say looks don't matter...don't be shallow, etc. What it comes down to is we naturally want to be with someone that attracts us. I know as we age looks won't matter anymore, but personality and bond will be the most important. Can you go out and have a girl friend who is great by all means but you're not attracted to?

I need to be attracted to the person I'm seeing, or this is little chance of it working out.

well lets say you two bond very well, you have lots in common, she has a great personality, etc.

You certainly can, but it's not going to last, that is almost guaranteed. Basically this would be little more than setting someone up for some pretty hurt feelers down the road.

But i can see your question is purely sexual, so the question you need to ask is does sex matter that much.... and here we are all individuals and for some the answer would be yes and for some no.

then be friend of her, for you to have a relationship there needs to be attraction, otherwise you will end up just breaking up later or cheating on her with someone you are actually attracted to.

I guess you could. Looks are not the only thing that can make an individual attractive. Personally, I don't think I would date a girl I don't find physically attractive(no idea if I'll retract some day).

no, i would just befriend those who i go along with very well but does not find sexually appealing. there is no point to dating anyone with whom you have a lot in common.

Depends what's in your heart I guess. I know some girls who aren't that attractive but I wouldn't mind dating them. However, I AM still attracted to them so, it kind of argues with what you are asking. If you have any kind of attraction then yeah, you should but if not then you probably shouldn't since you'll want to date someone you are attracted to. Looks aren't everything but they're still important. Everyone has different tastes and views on what is attractive. Some of us only want the hot models on tv, some want the girl who is just cute, some want the more masculine type, etc. I'm the type who digs the kind who is cute but who is looked at as "just another girl" by most other guys. Reason being because I can relate to them more and they're not constantly getting their asses kissed by other guys making them stuck up and conceited.

You can but why you want to in the first place? Seems like a silly idea to me. Personality, can only take you so far. I am aromatic so I may be a bit bias.

My opinion is it's best to have a strong physical attraction.

I have done that in the past. They don't last long. I actually got embarrassed to be around them in public because they were either too fat, too ugly or smelt bad. Fat girls sweat a lot and the smell is gross. I won't date fat women because of that smell. Yes I am serious.

I need the woman to be at least a 7/10 + personality. She needs to have a pretty face and a decent body. I am not expecting a supermodel and I don't mind a little chub, But there needs to be SOME attraction.
