Seems like a pretty good skill to have. I'm going to try and learn how. All you need is a tension wrench and a paper clip.

Depends on the lock. If it's a padlock then my method is bolt cutters. I'd love to learn how to do it actually. Seems pretty handy during those losing you keys moments.

Yeah I posted a few times recently that's it's a skill I picked up, simply from the Internet, never did a locksmith course or nothing.Just practice on Yale locks using a paper clip and a small screwdriver that I got from inside a christmas cracker.

reminded me of what happened to me when i was a kid, there was a day when i had lost my keys and my mom wasn't home either,i was standing at the door crying my eyes out when this old woman showed up and told me to back off,i stood back and she just stared at the door for a while and made it open!!she then left without saying anymore words,it didn't scare me as a kid the way it scares me now though.well i guess she was a good wizard after all,eh?

I use to pick locks when I was younger. I could pick just aboutanything. My parents bought a safe and I figured out how to pick it.

I don't get too many chances to pick locks. I picked out a pretty nice one a couple years back for my locker but I haven't picked one for a while. Oh I'm so witty.

Simple locks, yeah; not generally heavy padlocks. Once in college, I was working in computer support and there were a bunch of machines locked down with locks that were similar to bicycle locks, and no one could find the key. I picked all 22 locks in about 20-30 minutes using a knife and a couple of unbent paper clips. The woman who was my manager said that she wasn't sure if she should be glad or alarmed

The last time I picked a lock was last summer with a kitchen knife. I was surprised I actually did it.

Nah, I just kick the door down. It's faster and you don't need special tools.

Well when I was a kid, I went to my cousin's room to borrow some video games but the door was locked. I wanted to play video games badly so I used a hairpin to pick the lock and then the door open and walked in on my cousin and his gf getting busy:|.....

Dunno if I could still do that:P

yes, but basic locks like those on bikes, suitcases and some doors, heavy padlocks are a no go! I learned cause I used to loose my keys all the time

I can pick the locks in my house which are pretty simple. Probably couldn't pick anything more difficult though. Only reason I can pick these is because I got tired of being capable of being grounded back when I was a kid.
