I don't know why you would bother putting eithr of those on a truck but I think you may have some misunderstanding about turbo chargers and super chargers. A turbo charger does have some lag at lower RPMS because it is more effiecient because it uses air from the exhuast turbine. A super charger gives the boost across all RPMs but is less efficient and robs you of some horsepower because they are belted to the engine, It's better right off of the line but in an old truck like that it shouldn't really matter. All in all, even if you can put a supercharger in, it probably isn't worth it.
Unless it's a really low-pressure turbo, there wouldn't be much point in modifying an engine of that age - or from that vehicle. You'll spend money for a minor boost in power or a high chance of blowing the engine. No idea how much a supercharger might cost for that thing, too - more than it's worth, even if the Tacoma shares its engine with another more popular Toyota line.
save your money or, better yet, lift that baby, put on some 35 inch tires, put 4:1 double transfer case in there, do a solid front axle conversion, put a beefy rear axle with locker in,and turn it into a crawler
