They are still not swimming. I was fairly sure they could walk under water but I wasnt sure

Oh god that would be the end of all aqautic life as we know it. They can't die but they would be succeptable to hot water vents near the bottom of the ocean
From what I remember of the Zombie Survival Guide, no they cannot. But they can walk along the lake/sea/ocean floor for as long as it takes to come eat your brains.
^This. Max Brooks (either in The Zombie Survival Guide or World War Z, can't remember), refers to an incident of infected corpses being thrown off a ship, then reanimating at the bottom of the ocean and simply walking aimlessly until they eventually reached a shore somewhere. I image they'd be so bloated at that point that they'd all look like Boomers. :DRead the guide. They can't swim, but can walk on the bottom of the floor.

I believe they do something like this:
So it is conceivable that they will reach all land masses eventually. That's why I'll just stay on a boat far away from any land.

The key is to have them fall down some deep underwater gorge that is like thousands of miles deep. That oughta slow em down
They don't swim, but they sink to the bottom and walk. It may be slower but they can still reach you on a remote island.Yagr_Zero
