In terms of volume I don't think the Canadian ecconemy could ever catch America's, but the more surprising thing is that the Australian Dollar is worth 86 cents to the dollar, thats the highest since we floated our currency. Intresting fact, in 3 weeks, the US ecconemy makes the same amount as Australia's ecconemy does in a year.SS11SS
I was surprised to find out that though New Zealand is considered to be a bustling economy for their country's size (at only 4 million population), there are airports in the USwhich have a higher annual GNP than New Zealand.
Exchange rates aren't neccesarily a indication of the strength of the economy.

Fixed. ;)
(However, comparing them to what they previously were, ratio-wise, can be...)
This is awesome news in a way... Canadas economy is catching up to the States and mabie someday even over take it...not probably tho but then again we do have all the drinking water!chimo111
FYI Canada is cool & all, but no country is lookin like it's gunna catch up to us anytime soon. We've been the only World Power for how long now? :P
About the water, I sawsome video at school and it said only 8% (ice, liquid or vapour)of the world's water is drinkable, but only 3% is in reach. But 30% of the water in reach is in canadas great lakes. My numbers may be wrong because I saw the video 2 weeks ago, but the video basically said "canada has the best water".stevendiep_100
True dat  Which means inevitabley that America will end up growing too fast & using up too much water & we'll have to invade & conquer Canada & borrow from them :P

So true.EU? Europe? That isn't a country :P & China still isn't that close to the US. China is far, far off from being a 1st World Country none-the-less a World Power.

China is growing exponentially and is already the major trading power in the world, it's only a question of time before it surpasses the US and then eventually even the EU.
Regarding the EU, it's already very centralized and it wont take very long before the Eu ratifies the constitution.
The pound is a ca. $2 with great regularity so by your reckoning we win. Also the US Govt. is trying to keep the dollar as low as possible to stimulate exports and so get the economy going, that and it probably means you have a problem with inflation or higher interest rates
The US is losing money because all the businesses are moving out of the country.Devouring_One
theUS is losing money because interest rates are up to lower inflation
