I hope they cancel The Simpsons after this movie and focus on Futurama. It's so much better. Plus, The Simpsons is getting ropey now. What are your thoughts?

The Simpsons should have been cancel along time ago, but as other user have said it makes too much money and I don't really care as long as more Futurama is made at somepoint.Tohru_ReadmanThat's pretty much an inevitability. Futurama was just too awesome, even Matt Groening knew that.
Nah, they shouldn't cancel The Simpsons. There are a lot worse shows on tv right now. However, The Simpsons hasn't been funny since the mid 90s, and Futurama has never been funny.majadamusHow can you say such words, and still watch Shin Chan? :|
Years and years ago, the simpsons use to have a lot of funny random adult/other humor. Now it seems to have nearly become a Liberal comedic pedastal for making a political point.
I hate the way comedies have been going lately. Always trying to slip in some kind of left-tilt nod whenever they get the chance...

I hear they're making 3 more seasons...AT LEAST.
Futurama is making a return in 2008 on comedy central. Kikouken
Hopefully they have new writers and it'll be funny this time. :D
It's funnier if you do watch the Simpsons, because many of the jokes in the show are related. I think that's why it's less popular.I haven't seen any of the new Simpsons episodes, but based on what you're saying, Simpsons is just doing what South Park's been doing for 10 years.Years and years ago, the simpsons use to have a lot of funny random adult/other humor. That's what I heard, too, but I got to say, I wish they'd stop already. They've expended just about every joke they can do.

They should redo every episode in German and air them backwards in the US. It will be funny, I tell you, funny.[QUOTE="majadamus"][QUOTE="Super-Skunk420"]Ithought the plan was to end it after the movieGreatgone12

It's because they are running out of ideas for comical things, so they have to result to selling out. It's pretty bad when you've got an entire episode dedicated to Fox News Network. It's just ripping off of Family Guy's humor. Family Guy tends to focus its humor more on politics, religion, sex, and celebrities.

Do you read Sci Fi?Family Guy>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Simpsons (show is terrible now with no funny)elmetfanoFamily Guy? Funny?
Now you can't be serious. I swear, they have the same comedic style in every freaking episode. One guy talks, another guy responds, another guy talks, they talk over each other, they stop, awkward silence, lather, rinse, repeat.

Except that South Park does it right. South Park generally nails all political parties, democrat and republican. Everyone get's a chance to laugh in South Park, and South Park has plenty of other humor in their as well.
However the simpsons didnt start it until a few years ago, and they do it poorly, and they dont go after both sides, only made snided remarks against republicans.
