So I signed up with Sirius in 2006 for Howard Stern. Six years later I'm looking into cancelling my subscription due to Stern not being on as much, and the price of the service. Well well well... this is another one of those companies that make it so damn frustrating to cancel their service. Searching "cancel" on the site's FAQ is a joke, as the only results show reasons why you should re-up, and the phone number of some company reps designated to sweet talking you into giving them more money. All I want to do is take my credit card off the auto-renew so I don't get slapped with 190$ when I'm thinking about it.
If they want a reason why I'm cancelling, this is exactly why. For a company to make it so hard to get rid of, just shows a complete lack of customer care...
I decided to use the "Contact Us" page to email them, but all I get in return is "If you wish to receive an invoice rather than being billed thru your credit card, there will be a $2.00 invoice fee." It's not the amount of money that bothers me, it's just why they can't take me off auto renew... If i went to cancel now, my service would stop and I would get an early termination fee, rather than them letting me run out my 7 remaining months. It seems the only possible way to do this is to wait until December, and call the number where I'll be persuaded into re-upping by some guy that can barely speak English (my email was handled by one Farrah).
Well that's it, just wanted to vent. Thanks for reading.
