Can't comprehend !!

Have you ever felt like you can't comprehend what someone is saying (for a few seconds or at most a minute) like he is talking in different language?

it happened to me when with my bro was driving me and his friend, i sat on the back chair listening to radio as they were speaking (boring conversation :P) , suddenly i found that i can't understand a word from the radio, and when i try to focus on their conversation i also can't understand, but after a moment everything was back to normal.

So did that happen to you? and when did it happen?
