Does any one watch this show? its the spinoff of battlestar galactica. Every week ive watched just hoping it gets better. Ive listened to the director podcasts and its like they know it sucks and they just dont care. It so frustrating to listen to them drive a franchise into the ground. Do you think this show will get canned?

I was thinking about giving Capricaa try. But I never watched Battle Star G so I would probably be lost on the plot.(going torent the series off of netflix).

I saw the pilot episode and really liked it (and I'm a huge Battlestar Galactica fan), though I haven't had the chance to see any of the episodes since it started airing. I'll have to catch up soon. I here it's not getting the best ratings though so I hope it makes it through to another season.

you can def watch it independently of bsg, its just i sit there watching constantly like oh, this would be a great concept if fleshed out completely, and some of the characters make crazy retarded choices that make no sense. But really its such a novel show i dont want to see it fail. Watching the director podcast was the hardest part, you know something in trouble when the guys that made it are laughing at it

I really can't get into it. I'll watch it just because it's BSG, but I don't have high hopes for it.

Never got into Battle Star Galactica, but I did catch a few episodes of Caprica. A decent stand alone series that prequels the BSG story. From what I've seen so far it has some promise. I like the way it's shot with the feeling of the 1950's meets the future (clothing and cars, etc), reminiscent of how the world was putting together such ideas and technology after the second World War. Humanity was really progressive in those times. I like the direction the show has taken in that regard.

It's a really craptacular show. Battlestar Galactica was a military drama in space. Why the creators of BSG thought the fans of that show would be interested in a teen girl melodrama, with robots, I have no idea.

It also focuses heavily on the religious crap from BSG, which was one of the worst aspects of the show.

Yeah I watch it, I am like a drug addict that needs his scifi fix.

What ever happened to good scifi? Star Trek is dead. Star Gate is dead. And now BSG looks to be on the verge of death.

I enjoyed the pilot too and maanged to see the episode after that, I think it shows promise if it's given time by the network, better than Stargate Universe anyway and far better than BSG: The Plan. Even the must die-hard of BSG fans must agree it's a very disappointing recycled clipreel. I'll perhaps be getting the first season DVDs of Caprica on the basis of the pilot alone.

Cheers :)

Not good huh? That's disappointing. I just recently got into BSG. While I was watching the first season, I knew there was a 1970s BSG but I didn't know this was just a remake. I thought that 1970s BSG chronicled the creation of the cylons and that ensuing war, then the 2004 series chronicled what happened after. Needless to say, the when I heard the idea of the prequel spin off, I thought it was genius.
