What does the Exclamation point with the circle around it mean? I just got my car. It's only been like 3 days, and I already have that warning symbol. What is that? Is it a low tire pressure warning or what? What may cause that? I just got my car. How is this even possible? What should I do? Can I get it fixed with no charge? Please answer my questions. I appreciate it.

I'm no car expert (actually, I know **** about cars - I can't even drive one) but common sense tells me that the information you need might be in your car's manual.

It could be a tire pressure warning, or it could be a generalized warning indicator. In that case you'll need to have the car checked out by a mechanic so they can determine what's wrong.

When I get a exclamation point with a circle (actually might be a triangle) around it on my car, it means that I am too hard on the throttle and my car's tires have limited or no traction at the moment. Yours might be the same but your warning lights and what they mean should be outlined in the manual.

Edit: What kind of car is it?

Mine is an exclamation in a triangle when that happens... but it sounds like TC's is on all the time so that's kinda ruled out. Unless he burns out everywhere he goes.

I tend to do that a lot especially when there is a turn involved too. Haha. Unless he turned the traction control off, then the light would be on all of the time.

Edit: Damn I have a lot of typos that need fixing tonight.

Low tire pressure.

Also you can check your tire pressure yourself real quick check the spare to. If they are all good your sensor is messed up. At 3 days they should fix it no charge at the dealership.

O I forgot to mention you can usually reset the sensor yourself just a simple button look through owners manual to locate it.

My low tire pressure warning guage is an exclamation point surrounded by what looks like a cauldron (something like this ( ! ) only the bottom is a scraggly line). As the weather turns cooler, tire pressure will drop. If it's not tire pressure, the dealer should fix it with no charge.

Not true my friend. There is a warning light for low tire pressure and it looks something like this:

Check your tires, and yes, there is also a circular light for the handbrake as well, so make sure it isn't on.

100% wrong. newer cars are all being built with this warning light on the dash. if you dont know just say you dont know but dont make yourself look foolish by trying to base a fact on something you obviously know little to nothing about...

I am sorry holy father of the rules of typing and opinions, let me polish your shoes for you. I was un aware of the fact that New model cars were fitted with tyre pressure warning lights, I have grown up and worked on cars with an Exclamation in a Circle only meaning the handbrake is on. But thankyou for pointing that out to me your holyness, I wish you all the best on your career of being a **** head.

Wow....lots of misinformation in this thread. 1. TC, that could mean any number if things depending on EXACTLY how it looks -look in your manual under dashboard signals, warning signals, etc 2. TPMS sensors/systems (tire pressure) have been around for a while....like more than 5 years In fact, they are required on all vehicles after 2009 (I think that is the year) They were made mandatory to improve fuel economy Also, they made changing tires more difficult (I worked in a tire shop for 6 years in college)
