Children of Bodom respect

I was wondering what you death metal fans think of CoB. I know most of you guys hate bands like slipknot but do you guys respect Children of Bodom even though they are pretty popular

I saw then with Slayer and Lamb of God. I think they kick ass. Love the keyboard work. 8)

I'm a big fan! I don't listen to them as often nowadays but I think they are awesome none the less.

they are so lame now, Alexi's Voice is all Nu-Metaly screamo now. but there first or 3 albums( especially Hatebreeder) are awesome.

Big fan. Alexi can be half passed out drunk and still kick some major ass on guitar. Saw them live at Gigantour last year and they put on a sick show-Sniper99-

Yeah I just recently got their album Hatebreeder. Pretty awesome band.

I love Children of Bodom. I don't hate bands because they're popular, I hate them because they suck. I shouldn't even say hate, I "dislike" bands that suck lol.

I like the earlier songs, but I'm not so interested in the newer ones.

Children of Bodom is one of my favourite bands. Hatebreeder and Something Wild are my favourite albums.

I've come to like a few of their songs.

I don't really like them.

I haven't heard Bloodrunk, Are You Dead Yet? is okay, and I love everything else. You could probably already tell I'm a fan though. :P

They are too fast for me. I have gotten away from stuff that fast. But when I use to listen to them they were pretty awesome. I have much respect of Alexi for the way he plays. Kissing the Shadows solo = OMG amazing. Hatebreeder was my favorite cd and I stopped after hatecrew, I heard they went down hill. But they have some pretty sick writing.

Children is one of the best metal bands out there, never mind death metal, something like slipknot isnt even comparative to children, the pure instrumental power, i cant remember the vid, but look on youtube for alexi laiho's instructive guitar videos (he plays vivaldi's summer). im still listening to blooddrunk, that album kicks serious ass!pancreasjuice

I never got into Melodeath for some reason. Wintersun and In Flames are okay, but other than that, no thanks. Alexi is a crappy singer from what I've heard (Follow the Reaper, their most acclaimed album). And I don't care if they're popular btw. My favorite band is Megadeth and they've sold 30~ million albums.
