I think that only baker's chocolate can kill them, because it's more about the sugar in the chocolate than the actual chocolate. Maybe if you give a dog a lot of normal chocolate, that could be deadly also.

not sure, i got this info from my vet, when our dog accidentally ate some chocolate, she said that chocolate itself isn't what can hurt a dog, it's the amount of sugar they eat, so if you feed a dog anything with alot of sugar and they eat alot of it that it can be harmful

They have to eat a lot of it for it to kill them. My brother in law's dog ate two boxes of chocate bars and we called the vet who said they have to eat a ton (not literally) of it for it to be dangerous.
