I believe in Hinduism. Will I be sent to hell once I die for the terrible sin of not believing what you believe?smarb001Well, technically, yes. I didn't think it was that difficult of a question that you would need to ask.
I believe in Hinduism. Will I be sent to hell once I die for the terrible sin of not believing what you believe?smarb001Yes. In other words, since your fate is determined anyway, you might as well masturbate as frequently and ferociously as possible right up to death.
Here's a good way to describe it: You play baseball in the MLB. At the end of your career you ask an NFL player if you will not get into the NFL Hall of Fame just because you played baseball, and not football.FragStainsBut this is assuming that the Christian teachings are correct, and therefore the analogy you present is not exactly accurate. And the punishment for not getting into this "Hall of Fame" is eternal torment.

You can't take the presentation of hell literally in the Bible. Hell could simply mean living a very, very, unfullfilling life. A real bad one. There isn't any location called Hell.
Go to the TCWU Union here in Gamespot and ask them.tzar3Actually...don't. Many of those guys are really quite evangelical/extremist and an issue like this is really one that is heavily debated among Christians. Obviously the "world is 6000 years old" crowd is going to slap you around with Bible quotations condemning you and telling you to convert now or face eternal torment. Others will say that not going to heaven and going to hell are two different things. Others will say that all that matters is adhering to Christian principles at some level in your life...principles that are often similar to those of other religions. I'm of this camp. Honestly, am I to believe that every single person existing in pre-Christian lands or times went to hell, even the humanitarians? I mean, even if i were to be a Bible literalist, the Harrowing of Hell was stricken out as an apocryphal text...meaning that those poor sods really are screwed.
When I used to be a hardcore christian, I would say yes since you have to believe in Jesus christ. Then, when I lightened up a little, I would agree that if you are a good person who followed the word of God without realizing it, you are good enough to enter heaven. Nowadays, I don't even care what religion you are, if you believe in something after death then it will happen.Patatopan
This is kinda like how I was. I used to be judgemental of people of different religions, but then I came to realize that that type of mindset was very destructive. I came to the same conclusion after freeing my mind from that dungeon.Â

And you will get responses that assume that they are correct. If you do not assume that , then there is no way to know.

Well, according to Christian teachings it is essentially a paradise, but perhaps I am misinterpreting it...
And like I said, the alternative a lake of fire and brimstone...Â

If he turns into an Evangelical or Fundamentalist, then he's damned for sure.Â

I was just thinking that since there is no way to know if Christianity OR Hinduism is correct, making ignorant statements about how unbelievers will suffer is pointless since Christianity is just as likely to be wrong. So I asked the Christians on here if they actually believe that followers of other religions will go to hell.

Same thing. An eternity of anything is Hell.Â

You're asking the wrong people. Ask God. That's who makes the call. I don't determine who goes to hell or heaven. Neither does anyone on these forums, with the possible exception of Jandurin. He's very well connected.

Don't you think it would be common sense that you'd have to follow Christian teachings to get into the Christian Heaven? It's clear that you are simply trolling however.I would if I could but since thats impossible, the next best thing is his devoted followers...You're asking the wrong people. Ask God. I would if I could but since thats impossible, the next best thing is his devoted followers... If you're not christian, why do you care? Who cares what people from other religions think will happen to you? You're guaranteed freedom from religious persecution in this country, so make your own decisions.I believe so. But I'll see you there. I'm bringing Jenga and marshmallows, so it's bound to be fun!

But the devil will burn your jenga pieces. But will roast the marshmallows well , so it all evens out.I believe so. But I'll see you there. I'm bringing Jenga and marshmallows, so it's bound to be fun!

yes there is one, beacose christians and muslims murdered half of them and forced the other half to convert
As a christian i will say this:
I don't know, there has been no actual proof of hell in the first place. But me being religious and all, i don't wanna find out. And if you do end up going to hell, you did it believing what you believed in. (I hope god doesn't get mad at me for stating this).
