It really makes me angry when people just raise Confederate flags. I know that making people angry is the reason for it, but I can not help it. Any comments?

I also live in the US, but I celebrate it. I dont think that the Confederacy is very well known in other countries, is it?
Was yesterday Confederate Memorial Day?Travo_basicNever heard of that one....being a yankee from up north.:P
I'm lost. I fail to see how the Confederacy at all relates to Cinco de Mayo (which is basically an Americanized holiday).
American if you mean Mexico yes. Up here it's just an excuse to get drunk but not a holiday.I'm lost. I fail to see how the Confederacy at all relates to Cinco de Mayo (which is basically an Americanized holiday).

It has to do with the Confederacy because when Cinco de Mayo comes, Mexican people are happy. White Americans raise the flag, which is also a symbol for the Ku Klux Klan, just to make the people enjoying Cinco de Mayo angry. Get it?
I've never seen anyone do that...:? Also, the Ku Klux Klan uses it as a symbol, the flag isn't a symbol for the KKK.It has to do with the Confederacy because when Cinco de Mayo comes, Mexican people are happy. Well technically cinco de mayo is a Mexican holiday so it shouldn't be celebrated in the states. We have the 4th of July.It has to do with the Confederacy because when Cinco de Mayo comes, Mexican people are happy. White Americans raise the flag, which is also a symbol for the Ku Klux Klan, just to make the people enjoying Cinco de Mayo angry. Get it?

I think that sums up this thread. lol, wut?Well technically cinco de mayo is a Mexican holiday so it shouldn't be celebrated in the states. We have the 4th of July. Mexican Independence Day is actually September 16th.Eh cinco de mayo is still a Mexican (and not widespread) holiday...not a holiday in the US. But it gives an excuse for people to drink...because they don't have enough of those. It's sunny, it's rainy, it's Friday, it's Monday, etc.:P[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]
