I think it's stupid for people to think they are going into this movie and expecting closure. The movie is like the Blair Witch Project, where it gives you the point of view of the people screaming and running around only. These people screaming aren't looking for answers as to why the monster is here, they jsut want the damn thing to go away.Ilived
I read some reviews and they say it's nothing like the Blair Witch Project.

You know what I mean. Guy is holding a camera and its just him and his friends the whole time.
It sounds kinda interesting seeing it from the point of view from just the citizens (or a few people) instead of like a typical monster movie switching between the characters and the military and stuff. I probably won't see it though.
I think more people are interested in the monster then the movie.
There could be something after the credits...HINTING A SEQUEL! ZOMFG!ElArab
One step at a time, man. Some movies are good as a standalone film and don't warrant a second installment. Let's see if this film can live to the hype first.

Too bad Trilogies are a trend now
even in the gaming industry too...
With 14 positive reviews and 7 negative reviews thus far, the movie is considered fresh. It seems like it might be a decent movie after all. I was surprised to hear that the movie only lasts 73 min. with a supposed length of 12 min. of ending credits. Will probably see it Saturday.GreatDecayonly 73 mins? lame
only 73 mins? lameC_BozkurT_C
That was pretty standard until the last couple years where most movies are atleast 2 hours now.

when was 73 minute movies ever the standard? 60 years ago? 90 minutes has usually been the length of the average movie.[QUOTE="C_BozkurT_C"] only 73 mins? lameSnipeyMcSnipe

Usually, most short movies are at around 90 min. 73 minutes, not including closing credits? I don't know if it's worth $8.50 for a ticket.
we get it 2 days before the states in New Zealand :DTaegukki
It must be the Sky Tower drawing power from everything, and demanding an early release.

I saw it about 6 hours ago (we get it 2 days before the states in New Zealand :D ). It was terrible. The story and monster were awesome, dont get me wrong, but the camera movements were so jerky that I felt nauseous and had to look away from the screen for half the movie. It also has no closure. Its like the sci-fi version of the Blair Witch Project.Taegukki
omg if its one of those stupid movies where the ads make you think something that the movie actually isn't im gonna be pissed.
I wanna know how it got there, why its there and how it will be killed. and 73 min? with 12 minute credits? so what is that? 61 minute movie? this movie sounds like crap already, THATS ****ED UP!FreewayScruff
I'm seeing it. I've been waiting for this movie since July 4th 2007 when they showed the teaser before Transformers.
I know what the movie is, I know nothing will be explained, and I know that it's really just another monster movie but told in a different way.
Regardless, I love monster movies and this is a monster movie. So I'm going to see it.

lol Yeah I remember the Eragon trailer, " the first movie from the trilogy " or something like that, too bad they've announced it a trilogy before they've seen the box office results.:PThe length isn't an issue with me. I'm paying for quality, not for length. I would feel more ripped off coming out of a bad 3 hour movie than coming out of a good hour long movie.
That actually seems like a good ammount of time to me. Movies can be so drawn out.
they should make it free, throw in some commercials, and call it a Lost spinoff.LoG-Sacramenthow about no?This movie has nothing to do with Lost.

He is only producing, not directing.Matt Reeves is the guy that directed it.[QUOTE="LoG-Sacrament"]how about no?This movie has nothing to do with Lost.[QUOTE="teh_destroyer"][QUOTE="LoG-Sacrament"]they should make it free, throw in some commercials, and call it a Lost spinoff.teh_destroyer
