The topic says *SPOILERS* but I'm spoiling nothing because Cloverfield was one of the flat out worst movies I've ever seen. Probably the second worst after "The Village." I could spend a long time trashing this movie but instead I'll just point out some major things that disapointed this movie:

-The ending was horrible, everybody just died. It left you comletely unsatisfied; I even yelled out "BS" in a completely silent theater because I hated it so much.

-You never know how the monster got their or if it died.

-Their "great" idea of having the camera view being realistic by having a person run around with a camera really pissed me off after a while

Overall this movie was a complete FAILURE. What did you guys think of it?

Overall I think you're a *FAILURE* for not seeing the sticky, and I also completely disagree with you, but let's take it up in the stickied topic, eh?

I haven't even seen it, but based on everything I've heard, it sounds to me like you COMPLETELY missed the point of this movie. It's supposed to end abruptly; the explosion killed them all, they can't film anymore if they're dead. It's supposed to be ambiguous; again, it's from their point of view. It's supposed to be shaky; how would you film a giant monster running amok. Professionally?

So you're basically saying you're afraid of endings that are different. You want the same linear movie where they kill the monster and they get married and have kids. There were very innovative features to this movie and people are too afraid of difference to recognize it.

Besides, there is a very good chance for a sequel. And if there is, it will most likely be from a different point of view...probably the military's. So all of you quick to judge will probably get your answers. What do you except from JJ Abrahms anyway?

A sequel would help explain it but if there wasn't one the movie had no point.

It did, because even though it was a monster movie it was more about the story of the characters, and him reaching his love. Right before the very first explosion he says "You have to do whatever you need to for your love", and why do you think the tape under that one kept showing them on the train. And they were shown right before the movie was over. It was about them, and they died instead of living, 1 out of 2 possible outcomes. But if you are really that thirsty for answers there is an entire back story that takes place on the internet only, on the websites they created before the movie came out. I suggest you look into it.

OK amn... look...

Alright you said you dont know if its dead or not.... well wait till the end of the credits...then you find out

And the camera is a GREAT idea because you feel their pain, their fear, you feel their story much more than other movies.
