Ticket prices where I go run up to $10+. Besides, there are local rental stores too. Like the one nearby my place where renting any dvd is only 2-3 bucks. Last time I went to Blockbuster to rent a dvd it was only 3-5 bucks. I think you are thinking of games.

I rent movies through Blockbuster and wait for them to come in the mail. It's similar to Netflix.

what if you do like it and then wish you saw it on a bigger screenMerovingin33
I have never preffered to watch anything on the bigger screen. For me, the best way to watch movies is in the comfort of my own home on a huge TV, during the late hours of the night, alone or with somebody who isn't noisy.
haven't rented anything from BB in awhile, but i have some old receipts i'll check to verify. if it's cheaper, then my bad to ernie :oops:nike_SB
It's alright. It's rare that I buy a movie that I haven't seen on DVD. The only time I do that is when there is no other way to watch the movie and I have to import it.
Lol, do you see the monster for longer than a second or two to get a really good look? Im seeing the movie later on around 4:30, I cant wait!!!sarmini
you have to understand you will get the see the monster in more ways then one. different angles and what not. all leading up to the climax.
I hear it was called Cloverfield because that was the streets name that the director lived on. I don't think thats true but that's what I hear.5_LD_5
this is why i didnt say anything because it takes away the magic of the film. it is the most logical and its not were the director lives its were bad robot inc is.
most of the fan and i think its just a name the military gave the video. military and their clover titles.
also i dont think anyone should show or tell what the monster is. i mean they keeped the damn this so secret with no leeks all the way up until its release, i respect that.
Was the monster a gigantic whale?Devouring_One
No. but on www.1-18-08.com it ate a few whales on the way to new yorks.

but new release rentals are usually 10 bucksI like to know where you guys rent from. $10 for a rental? In our store, it's only $4 a pop...but then again, we're a mon-and-pop store, not a chain like Blockbuster.

Agreed, at the Hastings near my house, new releases are only $4 and as they get older they're as low as $1.
As for the movie, I await a reviewer, that I tend to agree with, to post a critique.

You are forgetting this is a monster movie, which means it actually makes a difference in screen size. I might go see this in theaters just because it is a monster movie.
