i'm hoping for some good advice. i'm hoping to transfer into the engineering program and university of illinois at urbana. right now i'm taking community college classes to save money and i'm wondering when to apply. if i apply for the fall 10 term i will have complete all the required classes but the thing is that i have to apply before the spring 10 semester is over and i still have to complete 2 class requirements. my question is should i apply for fall 10 or wait until i finish the class requirements and then apply

I have no idea, maybe you should ask a transfer counselor at your school.

It really depends on the university, but I would apply as early as possible. Check your Uni's website and Wikipedia page (if it has one), or call somebody if need be.

Apply as early as possible for the semester when you can start. If I understand you correctly, you'll be done with CC after spring '10 correct? That means you apply for the fall '10 term. It doesn't matter that you still have to complete some required classes. As long as you can complete them before fall '10 you can apply. The university will request a transcript after all your final grades come in so that they can make sure you're ready to enroll. If you aren't, or if your GPA dropped too much, they're rescind the offer of admission. Otherwise you're good to go.

I transferred into my university and now I'm a senior. I took 3 semesters at a technical college. My advice is to get all the hard classes out of the way and to get the highest GPA you can get.
