I went there for vacation during the summer(NZ's winter) with my family a few years ago. Although it was pretty damn cold, the place is indeed undeniably beautiful. We toured both the north and south islands using the Lord of the Rings book that showed where they filmed a majority of the trilogy, and I can definitely see why Peter Jackson chose NZ as the backdrop. It's definitely one country I would love to retire to.
[QUOTE="Karl319"]Not my kinda country. And I don't mean any offense with that. Just not a place I want to visit. I'm not big on mountains either :P sam636
Can I pay for your ticket? Seriously...
You can buy mine :)Is the New Zealand tourism industry collapsing?
If so come to Australia instead.

After seeing this tourist attraction video, I'm going to have to say no.
Not before I visit Iceland.
But I'm sure I'm not the only one who wanted to go to New Zealand thanks to LoTR.
Thats beautiful, and Im sure New Zealand is breathtaking. But already on my to visit list is : Other places in Canada that I don't live in, Ireland to see family, and maybe scotland.
Northern Canadian wilderness is the place for me.
