I just sat through 3 classes of Community College core classes (English, Calc 2, and Macro-Econ) and I sat through the same 3 classes at a university

The results were stunning

The community college classes were way too easy, they were teaching stuff like how to write a 5 paragraph essay, how to derive (done in Calc 1 btw)

Meanwhile, in the University, they were actually going through tough questions and having intelligent discussions.

I know that you pay significantly less for a community college, but shouldn't it still be more of a college than high school? It's like sitting through Senior year classes.

The community college I go to isn't like that at all. We aren't taught how to write papers at all, we're just expected to write them in a certain format. And we also have discussions.

All of the kids that didn't take Sats, did drugs, or just did nothing in high school are in the community college here. And trust me, there are tons of kids from my school there. My one friend who is majoring in criminal law there says it's basically like 13th grade.

lol me and my friends like to call it a High School expansion pack. Anyway, it depends on the CC. The ones near my house for example have tough science departments. Though, everything else from what I gather is pretty easy.

It depends largely on the teachers I know some teachers who are difficult and expect you to take your notes based on what he says in class. Then I have another teacher who has a booklet at the bookstore for sale which contains all his power points and while he goes on with his presentation in class you fill in the occasional blanks. Both are pretty good ways of learning because it keeps you attentive.

And don't you dare try to make english harder than it already is.

Matters what you major in. If you want to be a Biology major here like myself your supposed to start your freshman year in major classes. Sadly I changed my major so I'm a year behind typical Biology majors.

it depends on the co-college.

but yeah you're pretty much right. Its meant for people who messed up in highschool but want to have a second chance.

I messed up in highschool a lot (getting in trouble, not caring in general) so two years there and i can goto a better school. not a bad deal I say.Besides, im still learning things in the field i want to so those credits will transfer to whatever actual college i decide to enroll in.
