Conan and NBC, Why's Conan being treated like this..?

Seriously, Conan O'Brien has been with NBC since what, 1985? And NBC wants to throw that relationship away over some money issues? Pfft. I just didn't like NBC because of their habits for cancelling my favorite shows, but now they're just greedy

Because in seven months time, Conan wasn't able to get the same viewers that Leno needed 18 months to achieve. Perfectly fair. :?

I know we shouldn't blame Leno for this, but he's doing such a great job of looking like the @$$hole of the whole deal - the main reason for the whole mess is Leno's show being abysmal. It was just horrible, and NBC want to shove him back to late night, at the expense of Conan. Second - Leno seems perfectly OK with the Tonight Show changing time slots for the first time in what? Since it's been created? And, if Conan's gone, he gets the Tonight Show back. So it may not be completely his fault, but I still wish he'd just burn in h.... er.. I mean "retire" already.

Because NBC is run by morons who don't think about what they're doing or how it will effect them in the future. As a somewhat related additional comment, the last time Jay Leno was funny Johnny Carson was the one Hosting The Tonight Show.

EDIT: Oh, and nobody is going to ever come close to topping Johnny Carson.

the NBC execs are ****heads. They seem to be standing by their decision and willing to let Conan go while refusing to let Leno leave even though he had insisted.

TEAM CONAN!!! and I have no idea why I care... I never pay any attention to whats happening to celebs, but for some reason im paying way too much attention to this. I don't watch the show regularly or anything, but when theres nothing on my dvr I'll watch it. I think its just the fact that A: I think conan's show is better than Leno's, and B: Ive been entertained by conan for as long as I can remember, and i like the guy. It sucks to see him getting so screwed over
