For about a year I've always had a dry spot, a rash, on my stomach, around my navel area. Just recently though, maybe the past few months, acne has started to appear around the area. First it started a little below the navel, and thought nothing of it. But now it has multiplied to a bunch of pimples and runs up to right below my solar plexus. I have a healthy diet, I thoroughly wash my stomach in the shower and apply lotion to it right after showers because of the dryness. But lately it's started to get worse. The acne isn't full blown pimples, more like a bunch of red bumps.

Any help, guys? :/

Yeah could be a number of th ings. Sounds like it could be a rash from dry skin you wash too much or your skin is just dry. Could be dermatitis or such. Does not sound serious. Is it itchy? Go see a dermatologist dont be embarrassed he'll give you a cream and it will go away I guarantee it.

don't worry, i got that on my upper chest about a month ago.

Went to the doctors he said it was shingles and it can be caused by stressed.

I got some medication and it is basically gone now, it is still a bit noticible but not nearly as bad. In about a week or two mine should be fully gone

Oh yeah, it's itchy. Forgot to mention. Thanks though guys, if it shows no signs of clearing up in a week I'll go see a dermatologist.

When the Alien head comes out, it's really time to be concerned.

Just wash the area well and put lotion on it. If it doesn't go away see a doctor.

Already happened, he's the least of my concerns. He makes a delightful omelette so I let him stay

Could be the water, could be the soap, could be something you're ingesting, could be something you're wearing. I get wierd red spots that pop up after a shower, just wierd normal stuff sometimes. If it bothers you that much, just go see a doc. I'm sure you're worrying too much.

Well at first I didn't think anything of it, but it's multiplied so much in such a short amount of time I'm afraid the problem could get much worse if I don't do anything

Exfoliation is a good idea, as long as you don't overdo it. Once a week, or maybe once in ten days should help.

Also, are you sure you are using an appropriate lotion?

I'm using Vaseline Men's Extra Strength Face and Body lotion. Long name.. but otherwise, this.

I know it can be a problem if what I'm using has oils in it, but I have no clue how to find out if it does or not.

Well, if it were me, and it was progressively getting worse, I would first go to a doctor or a dermatologist. Don't wait too long, it may be koodies! Ha, jus kidd'n.

lots of people get irritation on their "treasure trail" area. just loofah it and see if that helps, and maybe don't use lotion because that could be irritating the follicles.

Well I actually do have really dry skin, so that's why I use it.

And to whoever asked, I do wear a lot of belts because I go to Catholic school (unfortunately), but no abnormal buckles.

And as an update, I am seeing a doctor sometime in the next week. Hopefully as soon as possible

Go see a dermatologist. The earlier you go the better. You should try to get it treated soon in case it starts spreading or getting worse

How large are these "pimples" and do they have a pustule? It's possibly a fungus, maybe even scabies.

Call a dermatologist... or just see a doctor period. They'll usually prescribe some ointment or salve that will help. My advice to you is not to wait for it to get better, because it's gotten to the point that it's worried you enough to ask OT of all places for help.
