so in confirmation class they are makeing us write a letter to the Bishop which i find completly pointless, especially because you don't actually have to put your name on it. We have to write about ourself and our family and what we did for community service and what gift we would like to get (i.e. wisdom, courage blah blah blah). I find it all to be a waste of time, isin't going to the 2.5hr classes enough plus all of those painfull hours we have spent in church. On top of it all they are making us write a paragraph about the saints name we are chosing. When did religion become a english course? I'm not to thrilled about any of this and we have to go on a 4hr "retreat" tomorrow (it was suppose to be 8 hrs). Unfortuantly for me i missed the class where they gave out the sheets for the guidelines about the letter and now i just have a short hand version of it that i wrote 2months ago about what to do. Not enthusiastic about doing this.
Does anyone elses church make them write a letter to their bishop or are we special?
