The Republican party are becoming such jackasses.. Its time they compromised just like the democrats who have agreed on many of the spending cuts the Republicans want..

I'll agree with that. If they want more say, then they can win more seats in an election if their policies are supposedly good.. Until then, they have to compromise with the majority party. That's how government is supposed to work.In other news. Boehner is voted funniest name in America for the fifth consecutive time.

Mr. Boehner is my best friend.

I doubt everyone will see things that way,but the Republicans had to know that Obama wasn't going to budge on this issue. To me this just shows how little politicans actually care about the welfare of the country.

To be fair, I think Obama has budged. But if anything, the republicans should budge more because the government currently has more dem representatives than republicans. Thats's the will of the people until the next election."There will be a two-stage process. It's just not physically possible to do all of this in one step," Boehner said amid White House insistence that the debt limit be extended beyond 2012. "I know the president is worried about his next election. But, my God, shouldn't he be worried about the country?"topsemag55
Funny considering he walked out the negotiations.
"I know the president is worried about his next election. But, my God, shouldn't he be worried about the country?" ...ugh, politicians are such stubborn, ignorant and hypocritical morons and never more so than many of the republican leaders currently in office. SaintLeonidas
It goes to show that the only thing the GOP knows what to talk about dealing with Governmental issues is politics, military, and...social conservative issues? They are completely delusional when it comes to the economy, and that comes to show when you look at the history of the United States for the past 50+ years, and the true party that has taken part in worthless expansionaryGovernment spending is the GOP.
Where does he get off accusing Obama of not caring for the country? Seems to me that it's a two way street: all these ass.holes we have in congress have no interest in the welfare of our country. It's really driving me nuts.22ToothpicksBecause Obama has the audacity for asking the GOP to even discuss closing tax loopholes! The negotiations for raising the debt ceiling should be good enough compromise on the GOPs part.....I mean.....seriously!
in all seriousness, I really hope this is just political theater, and that in a week, it'll be done, either in the short term, or a long term deal. It's nice to stick by your principles, but there comes a point where you have to put politics aside, and do whats best for the country. Obama has done that, it's the GOPs turn.

That's the problem: they (GOP) haven't a f***ing clue about what is best for this country. If they did they would be much more wiling to make a deal. Please Log In to post.
