If I were American in a time of war, I'd probably flee the country, assuming I didn't believe in the cause I'd be fighting for. I don't like to get too deep on anything in the first post...so I'll just leave it at the statement that I don't think it makes any sense whatsoever to force somebody to fight for what the government would tell them is freedom.

War is ridiculous so I voted no, I'd flee the country. It's especially getting ridiculous in this day and age when it's entirely unnecessary. Hopefully our consciousness will evolve quickly enough that sometime soon we'll find the idea of war preposterous. If we don't then we'll just continue to pointlessly exterminate ourselves.

No, but I'd fight anyways. Too bad the prime objective in me being out there is not for me to kill the enemy, but rather stay alive. And since jail is hardly a way to live, I'm left with two options - flee the country or go to battle anyways.

An army isn't just as good as it's number of soldiers. You need soldiers that WANT to be there and are willing to die for their country (don't anybody dare bring up that Patton quote, I'm being serious).

So having a lot of people isn't going to do a whole lot of good when there are people out there "fighting" but really just taking cover or hiding, like I most likely would.

I would choose "fighting" because I'm confident in my ability to stay alive as well as the fact I'm getting paid and remaining a citizen. But if worst came to worst, I would flee like I was French.

lol idc, I'll probs end up getting sent to Iran in a couple years anyway, I'm happy to go to war for whatever, I just wanna fight as a part of the australian army.
