So I wanted to make a thread about the cool things the still living presidents have done. This coolness factor is of course personal opinion, and it can be based on any events in their lives regardless of if they were president at the time or not. Heck you don't even have to talk about all of them if you can't find anything nice to say. Simple enough? Okay them lets get started.
First up Jimmy Carter who helped avert a nuclear meltdown near Ottawa, Canada the same way the people in japan did with Fukishima a couple years back. He and his team of 24 took 90 second shifts next to an overheating reactor. Carter later wrote that he and his team absorbed about a year's worth of maximum radiation allowance per 90 second shift and literally pissed radiation.
Bill Clinton. I'm fairly biased towards this guy, but his work post presidency that helped (and is still helping) to bring Africa out of 3rd world nation status is something I can't help, but admire. Combine that with his sax playing skills as was immortalized by the opening theme song of Animaniacs, and I see the makings of a cool cat. Oh and he got with a lot of women (kinda) which has sort of stereotyped him as the pimp president.
George H.W. Bush. This dude skydived last year. He did this to celebrate his 90th birthday! Gawddamn!
George W. Bush. He once completed a marathon run, and is the only president to have done so.
Obama. Well honestly I don't have much for him, and had to look fairly hard for something for George W. Bush. Perhaps one of you guys can help me out with these last two presidents.
Is there some cool facts I'm missing that you guys know of? Let everyone know.
