Cosplay ideas

So i'm attending an event (Video games live if you must know) and they have a costume contest. I'm male, short dark hair, about 5'8. I was thinking either Ness (via Earthbound), or a Pokemon trainer. Any ideas?

TC, maybe do the pokemon trainer. All you have to do is wear normal clothes and carry a pokeball, me thinks. So that'll be be least troubling of outfits.
