Agreed, but I was expecting this to happen in Mississippi or something. :PSo? I don't get why some people are so fascinated by others. Live your own life.

This is also a VERY good point. I don't remember wedding food ever being too good.[QUOTE="gamerguru100"][QUOTE="XilePrincess"]Why not? 150 pounds is about $300 usd is it not? You can't feed 33 people for that much anywhere else. It can cost upwards of a thousand bucks to JUST feed people at a small wedding, this is a perfectly fine budget-friendly idea. I'd rather eat mcnuggets than some of the crap I've had at weddings.senses_fail_06

You guys must have been to some budget weddings.Â
I've only been to a few in my lifetime but from what I remember it;s much like grad parties; a bunch of fancy crap that I don't enjoy the taste of.
Although the desserts are usually delicious, so that;s a plus :D

The graduation parties I went to had food like pulled pork sandwiches and meatballs. Was actually pretty great food.[QUOTE="toast_burner"]Agreed, but I was expecting this to happen in Mississippi or something. :PSo? I don't get why some people are so fascinated by others. Live your own life.

I would have guessed Texas.
The wife and I had our reception (such as it was) at an Irish bar. Not sure if that's a step up or a step down from this.

Up. Â You can drink and dance, you probably had the place reserved or at least a room, and the food is definitely better even if it's not high-end. Â McDonald's is the cheapest, greasiest food you can get.
Whether they like the food, or it's a more financially-stable choice, or maybe they met at one, it's up to them, and I have no problem with it. "Classy" or not, good for them for doing something unique.Stinger78
If they are in love that is the main thing and if they truely are more people than not have reason to envy them. She is a very attractive woman also. The guy not so much but yeah lucky him.

Nah, we just walked in while the place was already pretty busy.

Alright, still better food, better drink, better people.I was expecting some sort of recession rationale, but it seems they actually like that food.

A major step up.

Big step up, if only for the Irish beer and whiskey.
