I have yet to see Outlaw Star but I have a tough time imagining that it is better as I have seen over 100 animes by now and Cowboy Bebop still remains as my absolute favorite.
As much as I love Outlaw Star, I think that Cowboy Bebop takes the cake. It's far more original and the music is just fabulous.
Outlaw star is good, but it gets really silly in the last quarter.It can't really compete with CB.Espeially when factoring sound score, animation quality, and dub quaility.
Couldn't get into Outlaw Star despite trying. Cowboy Bebop is one of my favorite anime of all time, though.
Outlaw Star has better action and comedy, Bebop has better drama and story. I like Outlaw Star a bit more due to the ending.
I have watched a lot of anime in my time and none come even close to Bebop. It is, and I expect it always will be, my favorite anime.
Bebop is like a masterwork symphonic composition, while Outlaw Star is like a very entertaining Jazz ensemble. Both great.
