CraigsList shows how much people don't care for whats best for us. (With Poll)

A lot of people use the site for many things such as selling, dicussions, meetings, and other things.

This subject is about the Rant and Raves section.

I want to talk about something that disgusts me about the people who use it and how it reflects my thoughts of how people really think in the real world.

Since i live in the Detroit Metro/suburbs of Michigan, this is where i go most of the time.

There are tons of posts with people complaining about something/and/or/someone. Ok that is fine. We all have problems we want to tell others. Heres the thing. Why must they do it in such a disgusting manner?

People post about how they hate and or blame some of our country's problems on a certain race, culture, religion, business, and such. Degrading others and themselves, arguing back and forth, calling names, making fun of eachother.

Ok whatever. Fight your petty internet civil wars.

You must be thinking by now. What is your point? Heres my point.

Out of all those post a few of them are good. Some try to break the chain of garbage and idiocity and so many others post. Sadly, most of the good posts go ignored. Here is a wonderful example.

I tried to be one of the good guys trying to help fix what is broken/ trying to right what is wrong.

I made a post in response to everyone who was complaining about the problems we have in this life.

My post was about trying to show people what they could do to help fix the problem. The subject I chose was about raising our children properly.

After I posted that i waited to see how people would respond.

So after some time, guess what happend? Pretty much nothing.

Only two people responded to it. One of the responses was flagged extremely quick (so i assume it was bad) and the other was just making fun of my grammer. :roll: If you only see most of the posts there, i look highly educated compared to them. :lol:

And then after those two responses, thats it. Everyone continued to post ignorant, foul mouthed, insulting, racist, oblivous self-degrating, and other disgusting posts.

What the hell is wrong with people. This applies to everyone. Not just the USA.

I'm sure some of you are thinking i'm a fool or something allong those lines, but you can't deny the fact that I and some other at least try to do something to help fix what is wrong in this world, so hate away.

Why do you guys think?

Yes very true. Some of the posts i can tell are just for laughs, but some people are serious about what they post and think.

You are right about that, and in that case I find it is usually just an abaration (spelling?). Most of the people I know are ofcourse decent people who are caring and compassionate individuals. I voted for the first category, but I guarantee that many would find me to be hopelessly naive in choosing it, especially considering the amazing amount of cynics who patrol the internet in a bid to spread their cynicism onto the masses who do not share their views. However, I suppose everybody has the right to be cynical nowadays, considering how much crap goes on in the world. I think the world can be an awful place, but most of the people on it are good. Although, I can see why a lot of people would think the opposite, having just read about that killer on one of the other threads. Woah, that was a lot of words, lol. And also, I don't have anything against cynics, I often consider myself one against my better judgement, lol

I am not surprised this went into darkness pretty quickly, but I will bump this one time to see if anyone else would like to add.
