This is a photo slideshow and poem written from the perspective of a gang member, highlighting the issue of crime in america as an extension of circumstance and poverty.

This poem has religious overtones but I specifically want to discuss the issue of crime as an effect of poverty.

Please watch the video before commenting and hear the guy's perspective.

@thegerg: I don't think that's true at least about minimum wage, it's actually only a sliver of our society that makes that.

I haven't watched the video. But I would ask if being poor or underprivileged gives one the right to live a life of violent crime?

@thereal25: The point of the video is that it doesn't but it does make a life of crime a lot easier, and a lot more understandable...
