I need to see this movie.
I saw Cube 2 and Cube 0. Cube 2 was pretty awful, but Cube 0 was pretty sweet and I am sure the original is better.

yea the original cube is bar far the best.
I liked this movie. I haven't watched the SAW series, but I won't. This at least has a quality plotline and interesting characters, SAW is mostly just hack and slash and die with the sterotypical horror movie people in it.XilePrincess
the first saw was good (and definitely worth a watch), the rest are absolute garbage.

So we somehow know so much about movies we have never seen?
The original Saw is one of the best thrillers I have ever seen. Such a great movie with a brilliant ending. Shame people forget how awesome and unique the series was.

Besides 5 the rest were still worth the watch IMO.
I thought 6 was quite brilliant with it's concept actually.
Never got around to seeing the final one though.

Can't comment on the others, save for the 5th which was pretty terrible, but going by the quality, I'm going to guess the others weren't so hot either. Still, 1 and 2 were great.

I liked it up until the part where he tried to grab the cell phone that was ringing but he couldnt reach or something. I thought of like 500 different ways he could have grabbed that phone and then later he takes off his shirt when he cuts off his leg and im like "what?" you didnt do that when you needed the phone? Completely ruined the whole movie...no the whole series for me.
Cube is awesome though.

I said I haven't seen the series. I've seen the entire cube series, but not saw. I should have probably made that a bit more clear, but I meant as a whole, I have not seen the entire series. I've seen bits and pieces of some of the later movies and the first two almost entirely (left for bits because blood and gore make me sick when they're used too much), but generally it's nothing more than what I said, especially after it turned into a long string of movies. It just became crappier and crappier. The first one or two had a good idea, but after that it's nothing more than the same rehashed idea with different idiots being hacked apart in random stupid ways. It may have been good in the beginning, but it certainly wasn't after that. And in case you didn't know, there's such a thing as IMDB, where I went after realizing that all I was going to get out of most of the movie (the later oens) was gore, to see if others shared the same feelings. And they did. It's not that hard to read a plotline, read a few reviews, and see if other people feel that it was a massive waste of time unless you just enjoy watching blood spurting. Cube has different characters every time, vastly different. New ideas, new patterns, new things the characters have to calculate their way around. Saw is all about the hack and slash and the 'do something horrifying and gross or you die'.[QUOTE="LostProphetFLCL"][QUOTE="XilePrincess"]I liked this movie. Saw is all about the hack and slash and the 'do something horrifying and gross or you die'.The problem with relying on reviews is that you are assuming peoples opinions are an accurate view of your own. They can be helpful, yes, but I would never rely on them. Some movies I love get a ton of hate, best example being Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, a movie I find absolutely histerical yet it gets quite a bit of hate.
If you have issues with gore then the Saw series obviously isn't for you. It has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the series itself however and no review is necessary to tell you that a gore filled movie isn't going to be enjoyable to someone who doesn't like gore.
The series in general gets way more hate than it should. Yes there are flaws, but quite frankly it is more of a hip thing to bash the series. The first movie is simply brilliant, 2 and 3 were great for making it a trilogy, and 4 and 6 were very servicable movies that were entertaining even if they weren't going to revolutionize the film industry. 5 was admittingly awful and I can't discuss the final entry as I never got around to seeing it.
