So i went to the park after school today. I was playing against this guy 1 on 1 in hand ball. He was probably about 17-20 years old. We were going at it for about an hour, it was a very very long and tiring game. We were both sweating and exhausted. Just when i was about to win i got a kill on the ball and he thought i called blocks. He did this more than once. There was a dispute over the call when suddenly he just walks away from the game and goes to sit down. He kept running his mouth about how "i'm BS" and stuff. I said "so play me for money then". That's when he got pissed got in my face and popped off with the mouth again. He's like yeah what would a dollar do. I said "alright i'll put my bike on the line then". That's when he snapped, shoved my bike on the floor and then pushed my face back. I got into my fighting stance and put my both hands up but didn't do anything. I just walked away thing is i'm not sure why i did that. I think it had something to do with me being wrong in the first place. What do you guys think about what happened? who was right?

It doesn't really matter who was right or wrong... when people start getting really mouthy over something trivial, it's best to ignore them. Unfortunatly, you edged him on : / It really isn't that big of a deal anyways unless he was a really good friend of yours or the type that has "power" with people.

did i do the right thing by not hitting back and talking walking away? he threw my bike on the floor and then pushed my face out the way. I couldve easily got into a fist fight with him but something in me made me stop. I wasn't scared of him, i've been boxing since 12 years old and my dad's a korean war veteran.

well he wasn't a good friend thats for sure, just a random person at the park. As for power with people i don't know. What do you by power? like a gang leader or whatever?

It would have been best to ignore him when he walked away and sat down, but it's still good that you had the self control not to fight him. Hopefully if something like this happens again you'll walk away before you get the point where you're wagering something (like your bike). Even still, it went a bit too far but good on you for not letting it get physical.

Same here.

Anyway, I probably wouldn't have hit the kid either. I'm just not a fighter and even though I can fight, I see no reason to.

You should have started singing. He would have killed over with laughter, and thus, the dispute would be settled. Simple really.
