I'm a huge fan of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy and have seen the movies several times, even having seen the Dark Knight Rises 3 times in theaters. So of course I want to buy the trilogy when it comes out on Blu-Ray but here's kind of a dilemma. The blu-ray trilogy box set with some special features comes out December 8, so you'd think I'll buy that right away (and I planned on it) but then I heard that Warner Bros. is releasing an 'Ultimate Collector's Edition' of the trilogy around Fall of 2013 which is supposed to contain more special features, extra footage from the trilogy, etc. (yes, I care about these special features). If you were me would you buy the trilogy release that comes out this December or would you wait until the fall of next year for the Ultimate Collector's Edition? I know no one would want to just buy both since it's just a ploy for the studio to get everyone to do that so they can cash in on such a successful franchise, but would it be stupid to just buy the first box set, then sell it when the Ultimate Collector's Edition comes out on and buy that? I really want to own the trilogy boxed set but I don't feel like waiting an extra 9 months nor do I want to buy both editions and waste money (although I'd very much prefer the Ultimate Collector's Edition between the two). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Anyway here's the article with all the details of the boxed set. Apparently the first release includes a booklet called "The Art and Making of the Dark Knight Trilogy."
