For the first time in my life, I decided to watch the Daytona 500. Now, normally I diss on NASCAR because I simply think the entire idea of this type of racing is humorous at best. However, after hearing all the hype on Sports Radio, I decided to give it a try. I am very glad I did!

The end to this race was ridiculous. The Army car, 01, was positioned to win. And then the Sunoco car who was all the way in 30th place with 15 laps to go pushes its way to victory. Not to mention the HUUUUGE pileup 15 seconds before the finish line.

This one car flipped on its back, went on fire, and skid to the finish line in 15th place...

crashes are cool, as long as nothing serious happens like a death or somebody gets paralyzed.

My dad drove sprint cars and broke his neck in one, but crashes are fun to watch, just it sucks when someone gets injured

Sorry to hear that dude. I agree, its always fun to watch the crashes occur, but generally we tend to think the driver will come out of the wreckage uninjured. It is really sad when things go bad.
