If we are the strongest to have survived after millions (billions?) of years, where do you think we will go from here? How far does your imagination take us? Will man one day be able to breath underwater like in Water World? Will we all have darker skin again, like our ancestors, through the generations because of global warming? Or is this the height of our evolution destined to destroy ourselves and start all over?

(Note: I personally don't believe in human evolution, but I like to think of what we could become.)

Awesome, you must be the alpha in the new post human world. Do tell, will you attempt to whipe us out or will you live peacefully by us as we phase out into obscurity?

im more inclined to think that we have pretty much reached the height of our evolution.

now instead of evolving, we just use technology to make everything easier. thus not really having to overcome any big obstacles.

something along those lines.

Why I plan on building a nation underwater. Some centuries from now we will rise up against the dreaded land people and show them who's boss.

Evolution has no 'point' other than to survive. There is no peak to achieve.

You either survive long enough to reproduce or you do not.

There is no way to know for sure.

Organisms evolve by necessity, so it's difficult to project how humans will evolve in the years to come. And evolution doesn't necessarily take place forever, if an organism reaches a state where they no longer need to evolve, they won't.

Some well-known scientists have speculated that our evolutionary line will take us down the path of another split with a dwarf-like subspecies and a stronger, more intelligent species. Of course, we wouldn't see any macro evolution for something of a million years or so, but our bodies go through micro evolution all the time.

Well then, as my line of geneology will undoubtably be around in a few million years, I will tell my children, and their children, to pass on this knowledge and prepare for the sea dwellers. I will request that they boil the waters until every sea creature has passed. :)

Their is no such things as "evolutionists". Their is only people who understand evolution, and people who do not. You fall into the latter category.

Please take a biology course. Evolution is an easily observable fact. Ever wonder why bacteria are becoming resistant to antibiotics? Evolution.
