demanding/ask your date to help clean the dishes

so, last night after a date in my apartment i left all the dishes in the sink. after, the girl and me went out, and i came home pretty late to a furious roommate. he meant that i shouldve cleaned the dishes before the girl and me went out. when i asked him if he asks his dates to clean the dishes with him he replied "ofc". so, what do people think?

personally, i find this laughable. im no expert in the ways of the ladies, but asking her to help you clean dishes when YOU have invited her to have a good time, is a bit....awkward?

EDIT: bad typo....

I don't see a problem with leaving them until after. That guy just sounds like a whiner.

No, demanding a date to help clean the dishes sounds good but you shouldn't. She'll probably leave you.

I usually did the dishes after I made her dinner. Since the kitchen wasn't enclosed, I could see the tv and I'd just say go watch some tv and relax while I clean up. And she would, she come by and ask if I needed help during the process, but I wanted her to have a good time so I just took care of it.

Maybe you could ask her to help you with it, and when you start washing them, splash her a little with water, and maybe she'll start playing along and you two can get each other wet and things might get hot. ;)
