I dont know what either party has to offer yet so Im choosing neither!
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Both parties are composed mostly of backstabbing, power-hungry, egomaniacal liars, AKA politicians.
I don't particularly like either of them. I do find that most of the more sensible politicians happen to be Republican, though.
I call myself conservative. I prefer not to affiliate with any political parties, as I think the two major ones have both deviated far from their roots... I guess if I had to pick one, it'd be Republican...but I still prefer to call myself conservative.t3hrubikscube
Spock would be disappointed.
lol, just kidding
The only logical poll options would be:
Constitution Party
Democratic Party
Green Party
Libertarian Party
Republican Party
Those options or alignment:
left wing
center-left wing
center wing
center-right wing
right wing

Sorry but my options work better for this question.

How? You take different categories, in a poll.
I guess it works if you're talking about priorities.
Like: would you rather take the (Party)'s side or the (ideology)'s side?
Is that what you were talking about?
I used to agree more with Republicans but now i find my self agreeing more with Democrats.
George H.W. Bush's remark about how athiests are not Americans kinda started me down the path of not liking Repubs. And then during the recent election most of them screaming that Obama is not fit for presidency because he might be a Muslim (in other words, not a Christian) really painted an ugly picture of the republicans for me.

I'm a registered Republican. Within the party, i'd identify myself more with the Libertarian-leaning faction, although I wouldn't go so far as to consider myself a libertarian.fidosim
Libertarian is a whole 'nother party.
But I guess I understand what you mean 'cause they are very close to the Republicans.

What I mean is there are quite a few Republicans who don't care much about social issues (abortion, homosexual marriage, etc.), but who identify with the Republicans due to fiscal conservatism. I'm more in that column.[QUOTE="smc91352"][QUOTE="fidosim"]I'm a registered Republican. Are you sure you're not a Libertarian then? Most Libertarians do vote for Republicans in the national elections.

Positive. I like their position on some issues, but not on many others. Their foreign policy views are anathema to me, among other issues.Similar question: When i get mugged and robbed in the street, do i want to first get, kicked in the balls or punched in the face?

If they're both gonna happen, I'll take the kick-in-the-balls first 'cause then I wouldn't even feel the punch-in-the-face. No sense in feeling pain twice, right?

In that case, I choose the punch in the face.

Agree with Republicans/Conservatives more often than not, however there are issues I disagree with them about very strongly gay marriage should be legalized, marijuana ain't exactly a better thing especially when it's used for medical purposes, there are other issues I disagree with but those are two examples). There are republicans I wouln't vote for in a million years, and democrats I would consider though.
